My interest in photography began at a young age, as I watched both my father and step-father operating their SLRs. Poring over the pages of National Geographic magazine and the Sierra Club calendar, among other influences, sparked an insatiable hunger for mouth-watering, breathtaking images. I began taking photography seriously in 1998, and it has since changed the course of my life.

While studying at Brooks Institute of Photography, I began specializing in automotive and travel photography. After graduating in 2005, I joined the staff at Motor Trend magazine, where I was part of the photo team for about 10 years, most recently as the Photo Editor. I left Motor Trend to pursue motorcycle journalism, working as Associate Editor, then Photo Editor at Motorcyclist magazine for over two years, before going freelance.

When I'm not creating images of the world's latest motorcycles, cars, and trucks, I can be found out in the wilderness, hiking, camping, motorcycling, or practicing yoga. I love traveling to destinations near and far, or staying at home, playing ukulele and piano or tending to my small garden.

Please contact me directly for your next assignment, or to purchase prints of

my work. I look forward to hearing from you!

Cheers,

Julia
